Dinner at Mihana Modern Japanese @ Lounge was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We indulged in the eel club, lobster bisque, calamari, petite filet mignon, grilled octopus, miso black cod, and an impressive selection of premium sushi and sashimi — all beautifully presented and expertly crafted. Every bite showcased incredible freshness and attention to detail. The lobster bisque was rich and comforting, the octopus perfectly grilled, and the miso black cod melted in the mouth. The sushi and sashimi were pristine — delicate cuts, clean flavors, and top-tier quality that truly stood out. Mihana also offers omakase, featuring seasonal ingredients and the chef’s creative touch — an experience I’d love to try next time. Refined, modern, and elegant — truly a must-visit for Japanese cuisine lovers.

Mihana is a brand new restaurant in Woodbury and already feels like a spot worth hanging out at. The vibe is modern but comfortable, the staff are friendly, and even the restrooms are spotless (I really hope it stays this way!) We ordered the eel club, octopus, surf and turf, and a sushi & sashimi platter. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. What stood out most was the attention to detail: they actually use freshly grated real wasabi and perfectly cooked broccoli with the surf and turf; details that are hard to find even in NYC, so I was glad to see them here. Overall, a clean, welcoming place with great Japanese and fusion dishes, and I’m looking forward to coming back.

Absolutely loved my dinner at Mihana! The foie gras with eel on toasted bread was amazing — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The lobster soup was also delicious and full of depth. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, great for a nice evening out. I also noticed they have a private omakase room — definitely coming back to try that next time!

This is a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious food. The Calamari was seasoned well, light and crispy served with a unique tater like sauce. Variety of specialty and hand rolls... Which was very fresh. Will definitely be returning soon.

Came here during lunch for a quick bite ordered the bento lunchbox (steak teriyaki, ginger salad, rock shrimp, and vegetable spring roll) food was flavorful, cook to perfection, and presentation was immaculate. The staff was very attentive and help create an upscale atmosphere. Recommending this place to friends and family. Thank you to the Chef, Staff and owners on making it a pleasant experience. Will be back very soon

Great new spot in Woodbury we were excited to try and it did not disappoint! Their lunch specials are fantastic and the portions are wonderful. The decor is modern yet inviting and the staff are all friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back to try dinner sometime.

This past Saturday my hubs and I was running errands in Hicksville and looking for a place for lunch! I remember seeing this place open the last time I was over by Jericho Tpke (Woodbury) so figured we would head over to give it a try! First off~ it DID NOT DISAPPOINT . When we walked in we were greeted by a very nice hostess and we were seated in the cool round booth. The inside is SOOO PRETTY. We weren’t sure what we wanted (and we share everything ) so opted to start with the tri tartare (AMAZING!) as an app then we ordered the sashimi lunch special and 2 rolls. The food was plenty AND the rolls big!!! The sashimi lunch came after the rolls and we were pretty much full BUT still kept eating it WAS SO GOOD . Of course in my usual fashion I coupled my Saturday lunch with a Chardonnay (hullo) . The food WAS so good and tasted SO FRESH ! If that wasn’t enough our server recommended the matcha lava cake (or something similar named) that the chef makes in house (or something like that )…ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW! I’m not a big dessert person BUT WOW. I don’t even know what matcha is supposed to taste like …but this was sooo good! DEF GET THIS! In fact~ that we could have easily each had our own. Keeping in mind we were already full . All in all…I rate this 5 stars for an Asian/sushi restaurant. I also saw they have Omakase on Wednesday and Thursday so I DEF know we will be back for that !! Can’t wait!!! Actually may make reservations now for this week . If you are in the area of Syosset, Woodbury or want to take the trip, I definitely RECOMMEND. This place is PRETTY and FOOD DELISH!!!
